Relative Caregiver Program Support Group Meeting
Are you raising a relative child or need housing assistance? For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll-free at 1-877-275-8233. A support group meeting will be held for relatives that are caring for relative children during the month of November. Please contact Melissa Allison at (931) 476-4127 if you are interested in attending this meeting. For housing assistance, while caring for minor child contact Myra Walker at 931-432-4111.
The Stephens Center Parent-Child Connection
Fall 2021, Series II: Wednesdays 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sessions are held at the Stephens Center, located at 616 North Church St., Livingston. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within the series. There is no charge for PCC sessions. November 3: “Doing This for Your Own Good” For more information, call 823-6432.
Fall clean up week will continue through Friday, November 5 for the citizens of Livingston. Any unwanted items should be placed at the curb for pick-up. Items that will not be picked up include tires, chemicals, wire, fence, and paint. Building materials will be picked up, but the individual will have to pay for their disposal.
Parkinson’s Support Group
The November Parkinson’s support group meeting will be November 2 at 10:00 at Caney Fork Baptist Church, 2404 Hwy 70 East, Cookeville. The speaker will be Bethany Phalen of Boston Scientific. She will talk about Deep Brain Stimulation.
Coffee With A Veteran
Livingston’s American Legion Post 4 and Auxiliary Unit 4 along will be hosting “Coffee with a Veteran” on Saturday November 6th from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at American Legion Post 4 headquarters located at 121 S. Church St., Livingston. We are inviting the public and those who have served or who are currently serving in our armed forces to come and have coffee, conversation, and enjoy the comradeship.
American Legion Dance
The SlickNickel band is returning to Livingston for a fun-filled evening of dancing and country music on Friday November 5th from 7pm until 10pm at the American Legion Post in Livingston located at 121 S. Church St. All dances are family friendly and open to the public, membership not necessary. Concessions are available.
Veterans Day Program
The Veterans Day Program will be held on the square in Livingston on November 11, beginning at 10 a.m. Guest of Honor is Linda Rixie. Refreshments to be served after the program.
