Yard Sale Supporting Overton County Fair’s Special Needs Day Set for Saturday

Posted

This Saturday, June 7, the Overton County Fairgrounds, located at 608 Monterey Hwy, will transform into a marketplace as the community comes together for a yard sale.

From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., bargain hunters are invited to browse goods, including clothing for all ages, a variety of household miscellaneous items, and more.

Admission to this community event is free, making it a perfect opportunity for everyone to find a hidden treasure or two.

For those looking to declutter and make some cash, spaces are still available to rent for $25 for the entire day.

This provides a chance to turn unwanted items into funds. It’s important to note that renters will need to bring their own tables, chairs, and tents.

Lacy Pennington, a dedicated member and volunteer of the Fair board, shed light on the purpose behind this fundraising effort. “Like most all the funds raised at the Overton County Fair,” Pennington explained, “the $25 fee to set up your own yard sale directly benefits our local community. We are thrilled to be able to sponsor lunch for all of our participants and their families who attend Special Needs Day. It’s such a blessing for us to be able to do, and it’s all possible because of the wonderful support from everyone who rents a space.”

For further details or to reserve a selling space, interested individuals are encouraged to call 931-397-5620 or send an email to ocfair_barnsale@outlook.com.
