The Joe L. Evins Community Center in Livingston hosted the 3rd Annual Pioneer Pageant on Sunday, June 1.
Samantha Garrett, director of the Miss Pioneer Days Pageant, noted the event’s significance. “The Miss Pioneer Days Pageant holds a very special place in my heart as it was the groundbreaking event that has led to not only one pageant but four held throughout the year I am now able to put on here in Overton County,” Garrett stated.
According to Garrett, the organization now coordinates “Miss Spring Queen, Miss Pioneer Days, Miss West Tennessee and Miss Christmas in the Country.”
Upcoming events include the 3rd Annual Miss West Tennessee pageant, scheduled for Saturday, July 12. The 3rd Annual Miss Christmas in the Country pageant is set for Saturday, Nov 8.
