The State of Tennessee, Department of Children’s Services, has filed a Petition to Declare Children Dependent and Neglected as to Jenna James Maynard.  It appears that ordinary process of law cannot be served upon you because your whereabouts are unknown.  You are hereby ORDERED to serve upon Lauren Zechman-Denney, Attorney for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, 600 Hearthwood Court, Cookeville, Tennessee 38506, (931) 372-7127, an Answer to the Petition to Declare Children Dependent and Neglected filed by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, within thirty (30) days of the last day of publication of this notice, and pursuant to Rule 39(e)(1) of the Tenn. R. Juv. P. you must also appear in the Juvenile Court of Overton County, Tennessee at Livingston, Tennessee on the 18th day of September, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., for the Hearing on the Petition to Declare Children Dependent and Neglected by the State of Tennessee, Department of Children’s Services  If you fail to do so, a default judgment will be taken against you pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 36-1-117(n) and Rule 55 of the Tenn. R. of Civ. P. for the relief demanded in the Petition. In this cause, it appearing from the Motion for Publication, Affidavit and Order for Publication, which is sworn to, that the Defendant, GREGORY O. CARTER, whose last known address is unknown and cannot be ascertained and is a non-resident of the State of Tennessee, that the residence of the Defendant is unknown and cannot be ascertained upon diligent inquiry, (T.C.A. 21-1-203), it is ordered by this Court that publication be made for four (4) consecutive weeks, as required by law, in the Livingston Enterprise, a newspaper published in Overton County, Tennessee, notifying said non-resident Defendant to file an answer with Petitioner’s attorney, Lisa Chapman Fowler, Attorney at Law, whose address is P.O. Box 1363, Cookeville, Tn. 38503, within thirty (30) days from the last date of publication, exclusive of said last date of publication, or a judgment by default may be entered as to him.
